Media Bitchfest

C’mon…

Last night, as an introduction to the Emmys host Conan O’Brien did a little run though all of televisions top shows. The first one was Media Bitchfest favorite, pseudo Sci Fi, love triangle factory Lost. For those who haven’t seen the show, the characters get on a mysterious island via a mysterious plane crash. So in a bout of satirical competency, Conan began his Lost parody with (drum roll) a plane crash. Mind you, there were no shots of flaming wreckage or twisted blood-primed metal, just Conan jumping over and around his first class seat like a horse’s ass.

This apparently is a problem, because earlier in the day 50 people died in a (wait for it) plane crash. Now, this is borderline for me, I can understand where you need to be sensitive to the pain of those involved, but it’s not like they dwelled on the crash, hell, in terms of what they showed it could have just been some hellacious turbulence before the plane gently settled down on the lapping shores of Craphole Island.

But for what it was, it was enough to bump the news off the top of Drudge Report, so everyone take notice.

Also, the final show that Conan interacted with was “Dateline: To Catch A Predator,” where the flame haired host had to awkwardly talk his way out of being arrested as a child molester. No one is talking about that this morning, then again, I am sure all of America’s children have gone unmolested.

While we are on the subject of embarrassing censorship. I pulled down that post about the admin and stuff at the request of one of the alleged addict’s mother. When that material was given to me it was with the understanding that the principals in the letter consented to it being posted. Turns out they didn’t so it is no longer up. Sorry gang.
