Reportedly spurning an initial offer of $750 million in hopes of bagging up to $2 billion, the private ownership of The Facebook is now actively looking for an old money media company to cough up serious cash for the collegiate networking community. Of course, this comes on the heels of last summer’s MySpace sale to News Corp. which minted Tom and the rest of his Top 8 a cool $580 mil.

But what makes a random grouping of desheviled, slutty college kids worth so much? Well, they have nothing else to do but see if that guy from that party (you know, the one with the hat) messeged them back, so the site racked up a retarded 5.5 billion page views this February alone. According to Business Week, that’s more than Amazon, Ask and WaltDisney.com or this site times 5 billion.

But a hearty “big up yourself” to Facebook pioneer Mark Zuckerberg who’s inviting himself as we speak to his new FB group, “I’m Rich Biiiootch lolollllo.”
