Listened to the new FREE! Harvey Danger album and have to declare it… awesome. I am going to buy a hard copy from the band for the bonus disc and I suggest you do the same should you enjoy it as much as I do.

Before we go any further here, let’s get a few things straight. Media Bitchfest is NOT in favor of some neo-socialist, “music should be free” hippie nonsense. An artist should have a right to make money from their craft and property rights need to be respected. However, it is the humble opinion of this site that the internet is not a “zero sum” medium and therefore, an album downloaded for free is not the same as stolen album.

Giving away a full or partial copy of an album can be a very effective marketing tool and we hope that Harvey Danger proves us right.

So if you have not, download. If you like the download, then buy. Show that free trade and faith in a product is still the ultimate way to sell something.
